Welcome to St. John's, the Parish Church for Walmley! We extend a warm welcome to everyone from the local area and beyond, inviting you to join us in worship. Our aim at St John's is to be God’s community, in the community and for the community. We worship God from within the midst of the community: not standing apart, but seeking to engage and involve all, from the youngest to the oldest.

We are a church family learning to follow Jesus together. We believe we are loved by God and called to belong to one another, supporting, encouraging, and growing in faith together — not just on Sundays, but in everyday life.

God has placed us in Walmley and beyond for a reason. We want to be a visible, caring presence in the places we live, work, and learn, building real relationships and seeking the good of our local community.

We exist for the benefit of others. Through acts of kindness, practical support, and sharing the hope we have in Jesus, we want our community to experience something of God’s love and light in everyday life.

Our Prayer for 2026
Each year we write a prayer we pray together as a church, asking God for the wisdom and grace to carry it out. 2026’s prayer is based on our first sermon series of the year, based on the book of Joshua, and God’s encouragement and exhortation to “Be Strong and Courageous”! In Him, we can do this together.
