Dig Deeper notes from Sunday 27th April service:

· After the euphoria of Palm Sunday, the devastating events of Jesus’ crucifixion left the followers of Jesus bewildered.

· They locked themselves in the Upper Room for fear they may be pursued by the Jewish leaders.

· Mary reporting back to them that she had met with the risen Jesus, but they still didn’t fully understand.

· Jesus met with them and proved he was alive by showing his scars and eating a meal with them.

· Jesus also met with 2 of his followers on the road to Emmaus and they reported back on Sunday evening.

· Thomas was not with them. Apparently, they continued to meet behind locked doors, but Thomas would not believe.

· A week later Jesus meets with his followers including Thomas whom he invites to inspect his scars.

· Thomas believes and worships “My Lord and my God.”

· Jesus tells us “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed”.

1. Why do you believe?

2. Is it OK to have doubts and how do we deal with them?

3. How should we respond to other people’s doubts?

4. Are we happy to accept many of God’s ways which we don’t/can’t understand?

5. What is the best way for us to share the Good News?
